Excitement and Anticipation Builds for 25th Running of Maxxis Tires “Casey Folks” Vegas to Reno Presented by Fox Special Live-Stream Time Trial Broadcast Set for Aug 11, 2021

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: LAS VEGAS, NV (July 13, 2021): Best In The Desert is ramping up production for the 2021 Maxxis Tires “Casey Folks” Vegas to Reno Presented by Fox on August 11-14, 2021. With entries coming in from all over the world, the 25th Anniversary of the notorious V2R will be one for the record books.

Best In The Desert is excited to team up with Turn Two TV Productions to provide start-to-finish time trial coverage starting at 9:00 AM on Aug 11, 2021. Live-streamed broadcasting will be available at www.bitd.com and will feature the following classes: Open Pro Motorcycles, UTV Pro Turbo, UTV Pro Open, Classes 1000, 7200, 6100, 6200 1500, and Trick Trucks. Drawing for start positions will be held on Wednesday July 28, 2021.

The 2021 Maxxis Tires “Casey Folks” Vegas to Reno Presented by Fox will be very close to 500 miles starting at Bonnie Claire, Nevada and finishing in Dayton, Nevada. This year’s course features a healthy amount of challenging sections zig-zagging through Tonopah, Nevada. Due to a relatively dry year, the course is in great shape with no washed-out sections, especially over Como Summit and Churchill Canyon leading to the finish line. This year’s V2R is likely to see some fast racing, neck-and-neck competition, and a cooler starting line.

Best In The Desert is looking forward to commemorating the silver anniversary of the beloved Vegas to Reno. Especially after being named the seventh most popular motorsports event out of 20 in the annual USA Today Readers Poll, Best In The Desert is excited to celebrate at the awards ceremony on Saturday August 14, 2021 at the Sands Regency Casino Hotel in Reno, Nevada.

“Things are really shaping up for the 25th Maxxis Tires ‘Casey Folks”’ Vegas to Reno Presented by Fox,” stated Best In The Desert Race Operations Director Jeff Phillips. “I was fortunate to be involved in hosting the event when Casey first brought it back, as Best In the Desert Race Steward, and then again as an actual competitor for many years so I am quite familiar with the conditions and the various routes that have been run. This year’s course should be one of the best ever with great conditions right from the very start. By starting at Bonnie Claire we avoid a lot of the huge silt beds on Sarcobatus Flat that made it so dusty and strung everyone out at the start. It should make for much closer racing.”

V2R was always the race my father looked forward to the most and this year we are sensing an additional level of excitement and anticipation,” commented Best In The Desert CMO Bryan Folks. “We are very excited to announce that we will be producing a full-scale live-stream show of time trials. And with so many new classes qualifying including the UTV Pro Turbo Class, UTV Open, and Open Pro Motorcycles it should make for some really great viewing. We will also be featuring our most extensive live coverage ever on social media during the event. With reporters positioned strategically all along the length of the race course we should be able to provide live coverage of key moments throughout the race.
