King Shocks Joins Inaugural California 300 as Supporting Sponsor

Extending a partnership that carries over from other Martelli Brothers-produced events, King Shocks will join the California 300 as a supporting sponsor of this year’s inaugural race, event officials announced today. King Shocks will be on hand on the California 300 midway in Barstow on October 12-16 as part of the partnership, while King Shocks-supported entries will compete across many of the premier classes in action on race day, from Unlimited Truck to Class 11 and anything in between.

King Shocks will also be presenting a Lance King “Last Man Standing Award” to a racer that exhibits the tenacity and grit off road racing is known for. The award, which is a tribute to King Shocks founder and off-road suspension pioneer Lance King, will include a custom Assault Industries trophy as well as $5000.00 in King Shocks product.

“We’re excited to extend our long-standing partnership with King Shocks into the inaugural California 300 this October,” said California 300 CEO Matt Martelli. “Many of the top off-road racers in the world partner with King for premier shock performance in the most grueling races in the world, and the California 300 will be no exception. Fans will be able to see what sets King Shocks apart up close on the California 300 midway, and we’re sure to see plenty of King-backed racers competing for class and overall wins on race day as well!”

“I am excited to have a major off-road desert race back to Southern California. Barstow has a lot of racing history and it’s where we test and set up shocks for our customers, it’s the perfect location. I am also excited to present the Lance King “Last Man Standing Award” in honor of my father. He would have been happy to see The California 300 in Barstow,” commented King Shocks 300 owner/president Brett King.
