Monster Energy athlete Kyle LeDuc was in vintage form at Dirt City Motorplex over the weekend, returning to the top step of the podium in both Championship Off-Road Pro 4 races of the doubleheader event. LeDuc led a Monster Energy double podium performance on both days, with Johnny Greaves coming home third in Saturday’s action and CJ Greaves taking the runner-up spot on Sunday.

After knocking on the door of his first win of the year for weeks, things finally broke LeDuc’s way on Saturday, at the same track where he scored his last win of 2021. He’d work his way into second place by the competition caution at halfway, having avoided wrecks and passed other trucks to get there from the back half of the starting lineup, before jumping into the lead in the second half of the race and never looking back.

If Saturday’s win was a relief, though, Sunday’s was a masterclass in recovery. After multiple run-ins with the wall, including one where the familiar #99 would get stuck in place, LeDuc would have to come from all the way in the back of the grid to sweep the weekend. With two to go, he’d get back to second place, and with just a few turns remaining, he’d make the winning pass on CJ Greaves to lead his Monster Energy teammate across the line.

LeDuc wasn’t the only driver to take Monster Energy to the top of the box on Sunday, though. In Pro Stock SXS, CJ Greaves followed up a runner-up finish on Saturday by withstanding several challenges on Sunday, returning to the winner’s circle for the second time this season. Gray Leadbetter, meanwhile, earned her fourth Pro Spec win of the year while fending off a full rear-view mirror in the closing laps of the race.

The Monster Energy Pro 4 drivers hold the top three spots in the COR standings coming out of Dirt City weekend. CJ Greaves holds the top spot with 392 points, with LeDuc in second at 361 and Johnny Greaves third at 349. Between them, the trio has taken seven of eight possible wins, with at least one driver on the podium in every race. CJ Greaves also maintains second place in Pro Stock SXS points and a top-10 rank in Pro Turbo SXS, while Leadbetter leaves Dirt City just as she began the weekend, tied for first in the Pro Spec standings.

The 2022 Championship Off-Road season continues on August 13-14 with a visit to Michigan’s Bark River International Raceway for Rounds 9 and 10 of the championship. Last year, CJ Greaves swept both Bark River Pro 4 races on his way to the class title. To buy tickets to watch the Monster Energy racers in action, click here!
