Global Leader of Portable Solar Light Towers To Provide Lighting for TV and Event Production

San Diego, CA February 7th 2023 – The Mint 400 and California 300 announced today that Site Solar, the global leader in portable solar light towers and generators, will once again provide solar powered lighting for the 55th annual BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 in Las Vegas March 8th-12th. The third year partnership comes as part of the ongoing goal by owners Matt and Josh Martelli to help offset the carbon footprint of their events and promote responsible and sustainable land stewardship. Site Solar will also return for the second annual California 300 race, which will take place this October 4th – 8th in Barstow, California. The team at Site Solar will provide a total of fifty flagship solar powered light towers which are capable of reducing CO2 emissions by 30 metric tons per unit, each year! site solar mint “We are so excited to renew our partnership with Site Solar and have them return as premium sponsor for both the Mint and CA 300 this year,” commented Mint 400 and CA 300 Co Owner, Josh Martelli. “This is our third year working with Jason and his team and their products, which have really revolutionized our approach to lighting during our races. We were blown away at how much light these units put out in addition to being power banks where we need them. Their ease of use, brightness and efficiency are unmatched. Our staff has spent their valuable time working on the race itself and less time worrying about keeping traditional gas powered light towers running and that’s been huge. We’re able to charge our cameras and other equipment right off the units too, which helps us with our live stream production of the events.” The Mint 400 and California 300 events in 2023 will feature several nighttime activities this year including the Mint 400 Off-Road Festival on Thursday March 9th as well as two thrilling days of racing that will go into the night in Las Vegas and in California. The Site Solar Portable Light Towers are a vital tool in keeping the public and racers safe in the nighttime hours. Each tower contains solar panels totaling 1,440 watts charge, AGM maintenance-free batteries, and run LED lights 26 hours between full charges. Timers control the lights, reducing labor costs and allowing staff to focus on work assignments – increasing worksite safety and eliminating secondary containment worries. The solar trailer functions as a generator to operate tools or job trailer 110v items. A steel enclosure secures components, including a data logger with GPS, which allows real-time monitoring of the mobile unit. site solar mint “We’re very stoked to be back at The Mint 400 and The California 300 races this year,” commented Jason Morehead, Managing Partner at Site Solar LLC. “Our entire product line is geared towards providing light and power in remote locations, so they are critical assets for events, job sites, and hard to reach spots in the desert where these guys are racing. This technology grows and improves annually so much that the costs and benefits are really starting to eclipse traditional fuel based power and lighting systems. We encourage and welcome anyone with a business that needs remote power or lighting to get in touch with us!”
