Yokohama Tire Joins 2020 Mint 400 as Presenting Sponsor of Mini Mint 400

Youth racers to run on mornings of March 6 and 7

The Mint 400 is pleased to welcome Yokohama Tire as the presenting sponsor of this year’s NGK Spark Plugs Mini Mint 400 presented by Yokohama. The Mini Mint 400 for youth racers will run on the mornings of Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7. Yokohama will also be present on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas as part of this year’s Mint 400 Off-Road Festival.

“We’re stoked to welcome Yokohama Tire as the presenting sponsor of this year’s Mini Mint 400,” said Mint 400 CEO Matt Martelli. “Supporting youth racers is one of our most important priorities as we look to continue growing off-road racing, and the support of forward-thinking companies like Yokohama is massively important to that process. We’re grateful to Yokohama for their support, and we’re looking forward to hosting them at this year’s Mint 400 Off-Road Festival on Fremont Street as well!”

“Yokohama has always been a big believer in The Mint 400. They continually find new and interesting ways to bring the sport of off-road racing to a wider audience,” said Melissa Eickhoff, Manager, Events and Sponsorships for Yokohama Tire. “We’re excited to step up our support of the younger generation and their families participating in the Mini Mint 400. It’s an ideal way to make a meaningful impact.”

The Mini Mint 400 features two days of competition for youth racers on a devoted youth racing course. The 1.125-mile circuit will feature 30-minute races for each class, running in the morning before Friday’s Limited class races and Saturday’s Unlimited class events. The Mini Mint 400 provides young racers with their first opportunity to say they’ve competed in the Great American Off-Road Race, and serves as a stepping stone for the future stars of off-road racing with multiple classes of racing up to the 1000 class for youth UTV racers.

For more than a century, Yokohama has been a world leader in the development of outstanding tire designs and technology, giving drivers better control on the road.
