Bryce and Steve Menzies Win the NORRA Mexican 1000

ENSENADA, MEXICO – Bryce Menzies and his father, Steve Menzies, took the overall victory in this year’s running of the NORRA Mexican 1000 in Ensenada, Mexico. Taking the checkered flag in dominating fashion, the father and son duo and Toyo Tires® are picking up where they left off last year, after Bryce Menzies recorded multiple victories in the 2021 season including the Toyo Tires Desert Challenge and the San Felipe 250.

The event, known as the “Happiest Race on Earth” is an annual 5-day rally that includes multiple classes from vintage off-road vehicles to motorcycles and trophy trucks. In 2010, the National Off Road Racing Association (NORRA) began promoting the rebirth of this unique off-road rally that features challenging terrain over five physically demanding days of racing.

“Winning a race with my dad is something I always dreamed of, wouldn’t have thought it would be a NORRA 1000 peninsula run,” said Bryce Menzies. “I’ll remember this race for the rest of my life.”

Menzies and his #47 Mason Motorsports / Toyo Tires / KMC Wheels AWD T1 Truck finished this year’s race with an official time of 18 hours 36 minutes and 42 seconds.

Bryce and Steve Menzies relied on championship-winning Toyo® Open Country M/T®-R tires to get them through this grueling race.

“This was a great win for Toyo Tires with Bryce and Steve Menzies at the NORRA Mexican 1000,” said Stan Chen, senior manager, events, sponsorships and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “Kicking off the spring and summer of racing in winning fashion, our Toyo Open Country M/T-R tires yet again proved their durability and performance in this grueling race.
