Kyle Jergensen, Ronnie Anderson Give Rigid Industries 2024 Mint 400 Class Wins

Rigid Industries athletes Ronnie Anderson and Kyle Jergensen brought home the hardware in last weekend’s Mint 400, with each scoring class wins and overall podiums in the Great American Off-Road Race. The second round of the 2024 UNLTD Off-Road Racing Series saw Anderson take top overall honors in Friday’s Limited Race, while Jergensen’s Unlimited Truck SPEC class win in Saturday’s Unlimited Race also saw him finish second overall.

For Anderson, Friday’s win was the first major victory of his desert racing career. After drawing the 29th overall starting position, Anderson cracked the top 10 by the end of the first lap, and the top five by halfway. He turned up the wick further in the second half, posting the second-fastest lap of the race to claw to second overall on Lap 3, and outdueling the Class 10 leader on time in the final lap to score the overall victory by just 56 seconds at race’s end. Anderson also had an advantage of more than five minutes over his closest competition in the UTV classes.

While Anderson and the Limited racers were out on the challenging 100-mile race loop, Jergensen and the Unlimited racers were qualifying on their own course. Despite being one of the first to post a time, Jergensen’s 4:14.185 would stand as the fastest time in Group 1, enabling him to start Saturday’s race out front in the class.

Saturday was smooth sailing for Jergensen and his Camburg Racing/Magnaflow/The Beast Unleashed team. Despite starting behind the Unlimited Trucks, he was already in the top 10 on corrected time by the end of the first lap. While the times were close all race long, it was a class lead he never gave up. It also marked the second time in three years that Jergensen took a Mint 400 victory, as he also scored the overall 2022 win while competing in the Unlimited Truck class. Joining Jergensen in the overall top 10 on Saturday for Rigid was Brenthel Industries’ Jordan Brenthel, who placed ninth overall and sixth in the SPEC class.

As part of Rigid Industries’ support of the 2024 UNLTD Off-Road Racing Series, Rigid was on hand all weekend long, including on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas before the race as part of the Mint 400 Off-Road Festival. Rigid Industries and its racers will return to UNLTD action in October for the 2024 season finale, the third annual California 300 in Barstow, CA.
