Gray Leadbetter Aims to Build Momentum at Crandon Brush Run
Professional off-road racer Gray Leadbetter resumes her chase for the 2025 Championship Off-Road Pro Lite title this weekend at Crandon International Raceway for the 32nd Forest County Potawatomi Brush Run. Leadbetter and the #28 On Track School/Yokohama/Pepper Palace/Ryan Beat Motorsports squad come into the weekend tied for fifth in the championship and tied for first among true rookies in the class, with hopes of making this a breakout weekend.
Coming off another top five performance at Antigo Lions Roaring Raceway and a test session at Crandon last week, Leadbetter has been working hard to adapt to her new division. And if her history with RBM and the Pro SPEC class is any indication, the Brush Run could see Leadbetter’s first podium finish as a Pro Lite driver. In 2022, she took a win here in the World Championship races on Labor Day weekend on the way to becoming the first woman to win a COR Pro class title; all told, Leadbetter scored six podiums in eight Pro SPEC races at Crandon with RBM from 2022-23.

“I couldn’t be more excited to get back to Crandon this weekend,” said Leadbetter. “The past couple of races have been great learning experiences for me getting back into truck racing, and a track like Crandon should allow me to really show some of what we’ve learned. Beyond that, the fans here have always been amazing to me, and they make both race weekends something to look forward to. We’re going to push as hard as ever to put on a great show for them!”
While Leadbetter has been bringing the heat to the Pro Lite competition on the track, she’s also been bringing it off the track with new partners Pepper Palace. Leadbetter has a busy weekend ahead at Crandon, starting with Friday’s practice at 12PM and qualifying at 3:10PM. Her races will take place at 5:15PM on Saturday and 4:45PM on Sunday. Tickets can be purchased online through the track, while live streaming will be available all weekend long via FloRacing. A broadcast encore can be seen on July 13 at 10:30AM ET/7:30AM PT on Fox Sports 2.
